The selection of the right or best word or phrase in the right or best place is so delicate a task because -- the exaggeration is minute -- there are no synonyms.  
И далее:
The main reason why so few poets become 'immortal' resides in the tremendous difficulty of this tweezer-work of refining and yet again refining the language/music/contextualization, that is to say, enforcing the tiny or not-so-tiny shifts of meaning that move readers from indiffereenc to admiration, or from some admiration to more of it.
В англоязычной традиции, таким образом, то же самое представление об уникальности слова тоже имеет место с неменьшей силой.
